My cable lineup (TV Everwhere) includes ABC News, CBS News, etc and if I record a first run only program like 48 hrs or 20-20, I not only get the program I want, but I also get old reruns from the news channels. I have the DVR set for new programs only but it doesn't work. I think I can delete the channels and fix it, but I wish there was another way. Like telling the DVR to ignore certain stations. Or record the station I select.
In the web UI you can limit passes to a specific channel. (Unfortunately this feature is not available in the client apps.)
