Recording not started even though shown as scheduled

Several times over the last few months, I have had an issue where DVR shows an NFL game as scheduled (appears yellow in Guide), but does not start recording the show. The DVR does successfully record other NFL games on a different channel at the same time. See attached image.

Please note from picture: At 1:00pm, there were two NFL games scheduled to be recorded. At the time of the picture, about 1:25pm, the Arizona v New Orleans game is correctly recording (shown in red) on CBS. But the Seattle v Atlanta game on Fox shows as scheduled (in yellow), but is not recording -- even though there are tuners available.

This behavior seems to be limited to NFL games for some reason. I am able to manually go and record the show, but have missed the starts of several games as a result of this issue.

Thanks for any suggestions for troubleshooting.

What does the Schedule show about that program? What messages are shown in the Log tab of the DVR web UI at the time the recording should have started?

Above the grid listing in that image, but below the times, it appears there is a tick-mark. Is that an artifact in the picture such as dust on the lens? Or does the tvOS version of Channels really have an indicator of the current time (albeit not very well indicated) on the grid view? If so, is it possible to bring this UI necessity to other platforms, such as Android/FireTV and iOS?

yes, it shows the current time. Works on Apple TV.

Is there a way to view older logs than the 36 hr on the web UI? Are they in a folder in the DVR installation?

The full log file is in data/channels-dvr.log wherever you installed it.

Or you can open http://x.x.x.x:8089/log?n=20000 to see the last 20k lines

Thanks for the tip on viewing more of the logs.

Looking in logs, the only reference to the Atlanta Falcons game is 1:38pm when I manually started recording the show on Fox.

Email [email protected] the log and we can take a look
