Hi, with rumors of cable companies stopping their support of cable cards, soon my cable provider Optimum/Altice may stop supporting the cablecard I have plugged into my HD Homerun Tuner. When that happens I have no way to record Sportsnet NY (SNY). I can stream SNY using the NBC Sports phone app by entering my Optimum credentials, much like any other TVE channel. Are there plans to treat this like a channel that Channels DVR can become aware of and record a stream of SNY by using my Optimum credentials like any other TVE channel? There is an NBC Sports channel in the channel guide, but it does not appear that that channel in any way relates to regional sports channels.
My list of TVE channels shows SNY as 6162 (right between NBCSN and NESN). You may need to manually rescan that channel.
Also, sometimes access from an app is not the same as access from a web browser. Can you log in and view from the website at stream.nbcsports.com/rsn/sny?
I did a rescan of TVE channels. 6162 doesn't come up and SNY isn't on any other channel. Yes, I can login using my optimum account and watch SNY live at [stream.nbcsports.com/rsn/sny).
Did you rescan all or click the “edit” button at the top of the channel list? If you didn’t try the latter try that and see if you can see it.
I did edit. 6162/SNY is greyed out and says 'No login form found" any ideas?
