Allow specification of the channel number to be recorded. Currently, one may not specify the channel number on which the DVR should seek the desired program, but must request a program by name only. I don’t always want the DVR function to find other instances of a desired program on other channels.
Here’s an example of the issue to be solved. A Jeopardy Pass was setup to record all new shows. Now, I want to manually record a single rerun show, but there is no way to do that unless the DVR is set it to record all shows both new and old. Then the DVR will automatically record numerous old reruns of Daytime Jeopardy on other low def channels.
This can be considered to be a request to record a one time program on a specified channel rather than a Season Pass.
