When watching the first World Series game I was disappointed that the recording ended before the game.
I modified my DVR pass to add more time at the end, but instead of adding time it shortens the recording to the amount of time I added.
When I set the pass to add 3 hours I get a recording that is "2 hours and 60 minutes" long instead of 3 hours longer.
What duration does it show on the DVR Schedule
4 hours and 31 minutes for the next game.
Currently the DVR pass is set to add 90 minutes and start 1 minute early.
Just my musing:
It looks like you pass is set to channel 111.1 (ATSC 3.0 ?) but your recording is from FS1 which is a delayed broadcast which could explain the shortened time.
I’ve recorded all the games on my local Fox (ATSC 1.0) without issue.
That is odd, the prior recordings were OTA. One was recorded from the ATSC 3 on 111.1 and for some reason one was recorded from 11.1.
I noticed that the OTA broadcast of tonights game said recorded already despite not having happened. I removed the channel 111.1 limitation and suddenly tonights game was not already recorded.
I think the problem may have cleared, will update tomorrow.
Does your guide show tonight’s game as anything other than game 4. If so, You might need to go to web interface and redownload guide. Then dump your cache on your streaming device for the correct guide (that occurred to me for game 3)
I know that game was postponed so depending on guide data there could be something suggesting this was a re-air from 10/31 instead of a new live game 3.
It is showing as game 4 and queued, it also shows the expected duration.
The postponed game could be a part of this.
I think it is reasonable to wait and see if the game tonight is recorded as requested.
Last night's game recorded for 4 hours and 31 minutes as expected. Whatever was wrong it is not now.
