I previously had a failed Ubuntu version update that trashed my / drive. My media was undamaged on an external RAID. After re-installing Channels not all of my existing files were recognized. I have Jellyfin on the same machine and it sees my entire media collection so the media files are undameged.
How can I force Channels to scan all of my media?
Under Settings -> Sources -> Personal Media, there is a drop down to re-scan the "Personal Media".
I have never found a way to re-scan regular media. My solution is to move the missing files into folders pointed at by Personal Media entries and then do the PM scan.
That makes sense but it would blow up my Jellyfin database of the same media.
I wonder if touching the old files would induce Channels to scan them?
