I would like to request some maintenance items. I would like a button to queue my entire library up for commercial detection.
I notice sometimes that commercials aren’t lined up correctly and re detecting them fixes it. Because I record a few programmes everyday, it would be nice if there was a button to do my entire library. I understand it would take a few hours to finish, but nether the less it would be a useful feature to have.
All I can say to this, is you need some SERIOUS cpu horsepower to be able to pull this off, OR are willing to wait for a VERY long time while your cpu gets maxed out doing this.
Comskip is very intensive to accomplish successfully.
Unlikely we would add this because inevitably someone will click it without understanding and crash their computer.
However if you really need this you can probably write a script to loop over the files and call the comskip enqueue api on them.
AFAIK when you run comskip multiple times it always produces the same results. So i'm not really sure why you would need this.
If you don’t have a lot of recordings, you can use the Manage page in the web admin, to batch this action.
Select all the recordings you want it to happen to, and choose Re-Detect Commercials from the actions drop down.

Is there a way to change how items there are by page? I have a few pages and want to select-all. Is it possible to have all items show on 1 page? Thanks in advanced.
No. You’ll just need to page through them manually.
