I want to reformat my MacBook with a clean OS install. I have copied my DVR folder to a solid state external drive and have pointed the DVR directory to the new drive. What else do I have to do to before wiping my drive? Something with a “restore”? Anything else? Any tips when I reinstall the software? Thanks everyone!
Sounds like you're all set and you just maybe need to do one final database backup before you wipe the OS. Then reinstall and select restore to pick a backup after the OS is up and running again.

When you say “database backup” is that just copying the folder?
