Remote access issue verizon fios/win11pro

Hello, I had Channels on my Synology NAS 920plus and I was able to access it properly. Now since I moved to a new built machine with Windows 11 PRO, I am unable to get it connected outside of the network. I did a port forward in the Verizon router (IP:8089) but still nothing. I want to stay away from Tailscale.

Anyone have ideas on how to fix?

I also have Plex on this machine and I am able to connect using port forwarding (IP:32400)

Try verifying your port is actually forwarded.
From your home network visit and check port 8089. Does it return “true”?

Thanks for that weblink I tried it and it returned false. It already had my outside IP then I put in 8089 and it gave a false read.

Any ideas on a fix?

What is also strange is I use port 32400 for PLEX and it says I do not have remote access but I am able to get into PLEX remotely.

Probably a typo in the router. Verify the server ip and check the port forward in the router.

Sometimes when this happens, I go into the web server interface, Settings/General/Remote Steaming options, and set it to Off then back to Manual.
