Remote access stop working - Restarting Fixed It?

Local and remote access had been working for days. Out of nowhere, all remote access stopped working (HDHR OTA + Philo TVE). The error message said "Tuner Unreachable". Local viewing and recording worked fine. I couldn't find anything that had changed on my network. I restarted the server and all of a sudden remote access works again.

I'm happy that this worked, but are there preventative steps I can take in the future? I am running on a wired network using MoCA on a M2 Mac mini.

Static dhcp reservation on router usually helps

Thank you. Already have the IP reservation set (eero).

Just had this happen again in less than 24 hours. Thankfully I installed Parsec and was able to reset remotely. Same message as before: "The connection to Channels DVR Server had a problem. Press play to try again. (Tuner Unreachable). Try lowering the Streaming Quality in Settings"

Only change I made was resetting DNS on eero to default. Seems like resetting Bonjour is the key. Any other ideas? I have submitted diagnostic logs ( 8f8de4ed-63b3-4718-999a-988f762da8f5).

Thanks!

The next time this happens you'll need to also submit diagnostics from the client app.

That said, it appears your issue is not with remote streaming, but with reception on your OTA antenna:

2024/05/07 15:09:17.228079 [SNR] Statistics for ch40.1 WPCB: ss=83%,82%-84% snq=46%,0%-56% seq=68%,0%-100% bps=5328835,0-12262112 pps=456,0-1050 sigerr=43%

You're having serious issues receiving the channel. You'll need to investigate in adjusting your antenna or otherwise improving your reception issue to resolve this problem.

It happens on all remote clients, and all sources. Trying to playback recorded programming gets the exact error message. After I restarted the server app, everything works perfectly.

Can you submit diagnostics from the DVR one more time?
