Remote access while running a VPN

I am running channels DVR server on a dedicated windows 10 machine. I have IP Vanish VPN running all the time on that machine.

I can't access my channels DVR remotely as long as the VPN is running. I get the error "Your Channels DVR Server at home can not be reached."

Is there a way to access remotely AND keep my VPN running?

Are you trying to access channels dvr using your ISP assigned IP address or the VPN IP address?

I'm just using the suggested setup on the ios app. I haven't been asked to enter in an IP address manually.

You would need to whitelist it to not have it routed over the VPN.

If you have a vpn at home you would need to have your client device also join the vpn.. then you can stream as if you were at home. Other users are doing this successfully.
