I hope this is something simple I have missed. I'm trying to connect remotely to a movie stored on my server via my android phone. When I use the app, the phone will not play the movie, it just keeps trying to connect. When I go through the UI on the server the same movie plays fine. Also, some other movies play fine. Could the file size have anything to do with it? I'm using the lastest beta version of the app and the most current prerelease on the server. I appreciate any suggestions.
What device are you trying to watch on?
Could be related to the Streaming Quality settings or the Video Decoder on android
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy 20. Streaming Quality is set to Cellular - 2 mbps. I also tried logging on to my local WiFi internet with the same results. I've cleared the cache and rebooted the phone.
Try Settings > Playback > Advanced > Video Decoder
Did you try changing Hardware to Software?
Yes, unfortunately there was no difference.
