As a phased in feature down the road, it would be great to see a companion app or web access to login and view, schedule or manage recordings with our local DVR engine. Many times I find myself wanting to record a particular show, episode, or friend recommendation and it would be nice to have access to this with a few clicks.
I could envision this hooking into an cloud-based data storage (not physical recordings, but perhaps any JSON, XML, or other config files) that tell the engine what to do and when. These components could optionally sit on iCloud or a Dropbox file for access from another connection type.
