My wife is out of town for a few weeks and using the Apple TV at my parents house. Is there a way to remotely add that Apple TV (logged in with my iTunes account) to access the DVR? I don’t know why I thought it would work, but I can’t see anything when FaceTiming her to get that Channels app to see the DVR.
You would have to install the tvOS TestFlight beta of Channels, then go through the “add remote DVR” flow to connect to your DVR.

where can I find this? I am currently out of town and I would love to watch my channels also...i have the test flight installed on the ATV but I don't know what to do next..
This is a three year old thread. You don't need TestFlight. Just click the Channels Plus icon on the Settings tab and select Away From Home.
