I don't know if this is a feature request or a bug report, but when I enable remove DVR, port 8089 is opened via upnp on my router. When when I turn off remote DVR, the port is not removed. My expectation would be that the port rule would be removed. It's possible that another app needs port 8089, so perhaps you could ask "Do you want to remove upnp port 8089?" and let the user decide, in the same way you do with the choice to automatically or manually add the rule.
What router do you have? Is it using upnp or natpmp?
The fiber modem/router is unbranded but I believe it’s a Calix 844G, which uses upnp.
In the Log tab of the DVR does it say "Successfully mapped port 8089 using upnp"?
The upnp port mapping is supposed to get removed as soon as you turn off remote access. Can you reproduce this every time?
