Repeated errors-> bolt.Open(): flock error: timeout; couldn't open settings.db: timeout

I just migrated from an Intel Mac Mini to an M2 and brought over my external DVR drive and re-installed channels. Since then, I'm seeing the following errors repeated every 10 seconds in the log:

2023/08/12 22:43:07 bolt.Open(): flock error: timeout
2023/08/12 22:43:07 couldn't open settings.db: timeout
2023/08/12 22:43:17 bolt.Open(): flock error: timeout
2023/08/12 22:43:17 couldn't open settings.db: timeout
2023/08/12 22:43:27 bolt.Open(): flock error: timeout
2023/08/12 22:43:27 couldn't open settings.db: timeout

I've not noticed any inability to use the DVR server either via the web- or app-clients for playback, or live recording. Likewise, all my passes appear as expected on first glance. So I'm not sure why this error is appearing, nor what its implications are. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

(Oh, and I have tried restarting. The errors persist.) :smile:

Bolt issues are related to Channels own databases. If Channels cannot access its DBs, that's a problem. Because Channels is primarily developed on Macs, your best bet is to submit diagnostics, because something is obviously wonky.

Ran uninstall.sh from the ChannelsDVR directory, and that addressed the issue. I later re-ran install.sh --system to re-enable it running as a service, and the issue has not recurred. So, :man_shrugging: (either way, thanks for the help everyone!)
