If I close the app without pausing the video occasionally the sound buffer (about half second of sound) will repeat over and over again.
Never heard this before. What version of iOS and what device?
Its 12.2 on an Ipad Pro. As bugs go it is pretty minor but I thought I would mention it.
I am thinking now that it only appears when I am using headphones.
It only happens with headphones and only with the channels app. It is repeatable however. I suspect other apps shut down the sound before closing while the channels app does not, but that is not an issue unless using headphones.
