Replaced HD with SSD.. Few more questions

Hello All..

Sorry for the continued questions. After the conversation about the issues with FF/RW and the possibility of a SSD doing a better job, I went out today and bought a Samsung T7 SSD. Formatted the drive with Rpi boot software and plugged it into my server. I'm using Apple Tv and a few iOS devices. For some reason, I have 2 apps on my Apple TV.. Both channels icons, although one has a white "Play button" in the center. Previously, I wasn't using this app at all. I used the other app for watching TV/Scheduling recordings/watching recordings. For some reason now with the new drive, I can't schedule recordings with that app. I'm able to see the DVR on the left side of the screen, was able to schedule a recording in the web interface.. For some reason, I AM able to record from Apple TV app if I use the app with the play button in the center.. So confusing.. Have I missed something in setting this up? Thanks for any suggestions!

There is a paid app that is only for live tv viewing. maybe you accidently installed that one.
This $24.99 app icon does not have the Play icon in the center.
it is called Channels for HDHomeRun.
It is for users who do not subscribe to the paid DVR service and only use a HDHR.

If you have a sub and setup a Channels DVR server, you want to use the free "Channels: Whole Home DVR" app.
It has the Play button icon in the center of the app icon.

Speedingcheetah,

Thank you.. I did in fact pay the 24.99 for the the other app.. Bummer. What is strange though was with the other HD, I was using the standard App (without the white play button) to watch tv/view recordings/set recordings/etc.. That app was doing it all for me until I switched the HD out for the SSD.. that's whta has me scratching my head..
