Devs, would you please investigate a reproducible playback issue I’ve encountered when using the Channels app on Apple TV and iOS? I’ve outlined the steps and observed behavior below.

Steps to Reproduce (Apple TV):

Start a video on Apple TV using the Channels app on iOS/iPadOS and let it play to completion.

Repeat step 1 with a different video.

The video fails to play on the first attempt.

Resend the same video and it plays as expected.

Steps to Reproduce (iOS – Picture in Picture):

Start a video on iPadOS then switch to Picture in Picture mode.

Let the video complete while still in PiP.

Select a new video to play.

The screen briefly blinks, the PiP window disappears, and the new video does not play.

Attempt to play the same video again, and it plays normally.
