Reset Auth Token for external access

Hi,

How do I go about requesting that my auth token being refreshed. I have come to use external access after a long time and I no longer have remote access.

DVR is set to manual port 8090 and the router confirms the port is working correctly

What exactly are you trying to do and what happens when you try?

There's no auth token that we can reset. You either go to my.channelsdvr.net and it loads or it doesn't. If it works in the browser, then try in the app via Connect > Away From Home

Quick reply thanks. I've had this problem before and I was told that its an Auth Token which needs to be reset.

I get the following message which attempting to connect remotely.

Your Channels DVR Server at home can not be reached.

Remote Access is enabled, but we can not reach your server. Please ensure that port 8090 has been properly forwarded from your router to the IP address of the computer you installed Channels DVR Server on.

Following shown when accessing my.channelsdvr.net

Sounds like the port is not open.

Does portchecker.co show 8090 as open?

This is getting weird.

So, 8090 was showing closed but 8089 was showing open even though this wasn't configured on the router. I have opened 8089 on the router, port check still shows 8089 as being open but the router is reporting this error

Set channels software to manual mode

Reboot router

Setup manual port forwarding rules for the correct ports and IPs

This is exactly what I did before I started this thread

Don't worry about it, I'll do without

Then your router is doing something weird I guess. As shown in your screenshot, its using port 64830 not 8089 or 8090

When setting 8089 and after saving the setting it errors to 64830

I would highly recommend disabling upnp on your router, reboot it and doing manual port forwarding on it if you can.
