Moving my install from NAS to a dedicated Linux (ubuntu) box. I am assuming I install DVR server as normal, update it, then go to the /restore url. I want to verify that this will leave me with a system where the actual server is installed on the Linux "boot SSD", a smaller device, but that my recordings etc can be placed on a 4TB hd that is a secondary drive in that system? Shall I copy the DVR folder complete from the old NAS to that drive, and restore it "in place"? Or rather, do I select a target location during the restore process? Thanks!

Correct. Run the installer on the boot drive.
Copy over the dvr storage folder to the 4TB drive completely then select it during restore.
