The ability to resume playing a recording back from where you last finished watching it. Not currently supported in the old beta. And if this could be somehow saved to the stored data on the NAS, so then if I watch half a recording on the downstairs ATV4, then decide to go bed, the bedroom ATV4 will pick up from the last watched point rather than stating from the beginning.

2 Channels DVR is a whole home DVR. The means you can start watching in one room and finish watching in another.
Resuming playback is absolutely going to be supported.

This feature was one of the many reasons we decided to write our own DVR, and was one of the first features we implemented in our new DVR prototype
