Man, lotsa disappointed kids I bet. Those shows were half the fun of Christmas when I was a kid in the late 60s and early 70s.
I think the old Rankin/Bass Christmas specials hold up really well for being close to 60 years old. I just watched Rudolph with my kids today and they watched Frosty the Snowman last week. After all these years, I still get a kick out of Yukon Cornelius licking his pickaxe.
