Running CDVR under WSL

Anybody has any experience running CDVR under WSL? Should it be the preferred way to run Channels on Windows?

The preferred way is if you are going to use Windows is install it in windows why add overhead?

If you want to use Linux then format and Install Linux.

WSL uses Hyper-V, an effective type 1 hypervisor with very low overhead. I see no reason that running under WSL would not work yet you are adding complexity. Channels DVR runs great under Windows and is understood by many hear should you have issues. If you run under WSL, you will be close to on your own if you have issues.

WSL is a memory hog ....

WSL is known to have filesystem performance issues. Don't recommend it for a video recorder.

Some versions of windows can't run WSL.

Windows users should use the exe build of Channels DVR.
