If someone could help it would be appreciated.
I have a HDHomeRun Quattro. I am recording three channels, and want to watch a separate channel. However, I’m getting the “all tuners in use” message. When I go to the HDHomeRun status window, I see the image posted to this thread.
Why would the same channel be taking up two tuners?
Is there a chance a TV is also watching that channel live in addition to the recording?
Thought of that. All other TV’s are off and all other instances of Channels DVR have been closed.
Check the logs on the HDHR it will show you what ip address is using the tuner. Also if you have overlaps (recording extra time at the beginning or end) scheduled in your season passes for recordings on the same channel, it will grab another tuner if sharing isnt enabled.
Did you enable tuner sharing in the Clients ? That is why I enable tuner sharing on the web page globally.
If you click on Tuner 0/Tuner 1 links at the top you can get IP addresses of the devices using these tuners. Maybe this will help solve the mystery?
