This feature would be useful in the international market. It enables recording multiple channels from one mux by using only one tuner. I find this feature very useful in NextPVR, which supports this via internal or HDHomerun tuners.

Good shout. I’ve seen this used before. Could make the question of using multiple SD HDHR Connects obsolete. VBox TV Gateway uses something similar so you can record several channels yet the device only has 2 tuners. I don’t know if there’s any technical constraints, but if there’s not, I’d much rather prefer this to having multiple connects running.
Sorry to bring this back up, but this feature would be very useful atleast for European users. It may eliminate the need to purchase numerous tuners.

MediaPortal and NPVR both have this feature. This is probably one of the most important features if Channels were to support this, as SD’s own DVR won’t.

Everything is possible. 
However it is unlikely this will be part of the initial version of DVR, since is it complicated to implement and we have many other priorities for the 1.0 version.

Huh. Where do you need so many? 
In total we will have 17 but we are holding off on the rest. We want to fully get rid of our boxes. This is the only way to go. I can’t buy the other yet because the wife needs DVR so we can’t do the bedroom or her office. But in total it would be 17. Lol that’s why the DVR beta would be so nice because then I could transition EVERYTHING.

All CableCARD. We have 2 HDHR Primes right now (planning on third)
DRM would be nice for FOX News and a couple other channels, but I can wait for that. DVR is more important at this point.
