SAT>IP 418 Where might I be going wrong?

Hello, I wonder if you can assist me please?

I already have an HDHR Quattro working with a Synology NAS and obtained sometime ago a Kathrein SAT>IP EXIP 418.

The 418 is hooked up to a working Sky Q Wideband LNB with V & H feeds tested both ways around.

If I use DVBviewer I can successfully search and find 2,500+ channels but can't manage to view or hear any of them.

I can Add Source in Channels | Settings | Sources | Source | Text using this M3U list: [SAT>IP - New M3U lists (April 2023) for ASTRA 28.2 & 19.2 - #5 by neild7744]

I did check an example BBC entry to check that the frequency etc. hadn't changed.

But, Channels reports: SAT>IP: 0 channels

I've tried just adding the one BBC channel I checked but Channels still reports 0 channels.

Where might I be going wrong?

I've tried swapping the LNB feeds over but checking in DVBviewer I still get the big list of channels either way around. I've set the guide data for UK with my post code although reading this community pretty much all afternoon this might be one area where I'm going wrong?

Any suggestions please?

Many thanks in anticipation.

NB I was grateful of @GeoffT 's initial assistance last year but other projects took priority until now.

I don't know if the M3U text you posted was just part of it, but you need to start with a first line

#EXTM3U

Followed by the channel entries.

So in your case

V&H should match up at the lnb and Kathrien SATIP server.

The Kathrein SATIP server needs to be setup via web admin for Wideband.

If you channel scan using DVB Viewer, you can export the channel list into M3U and load that straight into Channels DVR.

That M3U list I provided will now be outdated, some channels will work, others won't. I dont recommend using it anymore.

Also if you are using any kind of Diseq switching, this will need to be configured correctly to enable correct reception.

Thank you @GeoffT, That found the channels but of the couple I tried before giving up tonight they wouldn't play in the Channels DVR viewer & I didn't try on my iPhone, just a message, "remux starting", I think it was, before switching off.

And no guide data.

Replying also to @neild7744 , V&H to be buzzed out & labelled tomorrow but neither way round worked.

I was setup for Wideband and Central? or Local Oscillator frequency of 10410MHz.

Noted that your list will be outdated but I couldn't quickly see how to export the M3U list from DVBViewer but that might be because I've got the trial version - I'll explore that further tomorrow.

No Diseq switching, just straight from the LNB.

Thank you both, I'm a step further after adding #EXTM3U

This is my M3U for the first 5 main UK Channels (South West versions but should work in any area). I don't have my EXIP any more but this was working fine a couple of weeks back. They have the Station ID in the m3u so guide data should work automatically. If you just replace my SATIP address with yours it should all work and then you will know that it isn't an M3U issue if it doesn't.

Cheers @GeoffT , Much appreciated, I’ll try that tomorrow morning.

Also maybe worth checking (and turning off) any firewalls on your home network. This has caused me issues in the past.

That worked, thank you @GeoffT however I appear I do have a firewall issue, as suggested by @neild7744 as I can't actually play the streams so I'll need to investigate that separately later.

The firewall problems I have now are my own but I'll let you know in due course how I get on.

Thanks again both.

Regards,
Steve
