Sat>IP server thread #2 VU+/Enigma

Maybe this should be moved to "Hack" I don;t know. However, since Sat>IP servers are apparently expensive and out of stock (because chinese iptv buyout?) my question is someone tried convert Satelite tuners with Enigma2 lilke Vu+ to be full Sat>IP server?
During search I only found this project But I don't know how it's supposed to work.

I assumed since Enigma2 tuners can stream from main box in home network in multiroom setup, they can act as Sat>IP server too.

The main integration point in Custom Channels is M3U, so you just need to figure out how to get a stream URL from those devices and put it into M3U format. No need for minisatip or trying to emulate SAT>IP.

For example on https://addons.videolan.org/p/1380107/ it shows some http://xxx:8001/x:y:z... urls which can be used to play from Enimga2 inside VLC. You can use the same URLs inside M3U file and feed it to Channels DVR.

Another tutorial for VU+: https://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/how-to-build-a-vlc-playlist-from-a-bouquet-including-vu-password.40176/

For Enigma2 you can also use OpenWebif which can generate a M3U file and you can import that inside Channels DVR.

Well i thought about minisatip because I already tested ZGemma and Octagon hand when I tried to use OpenWebIf it allows me only to watch OTA Channels, encrypted channels even with card inserted in slot didnt worked. I currently cannot grab any Vu+ for testing maybe someone in community can check that.

I see. Then maybe minisatip is better with oscam support built-in. I don't know, but good luck!
