On Windows 10 is there any way to schedule a weekly reboot that happens during the DVR's next 10+ minute idle period?
You could run the batch job below it checks to see if the DVR is IDLE if not it will continue checking every 5 minutes and reboot ... just use task scheduler to run once a week any time you want.
rebootserver.bat
goto startnow
:loop
timeout 300
:startnow
curl http://127.0.0.1:8089/dvr | findstr /I /C:"busy\":false"
set notbusy=%ERRORLEVEL%
if %notbusy% EQU 0 shutdown /r /f /t 2
goto loop
exit
Have you had reboots during a recording or playback? That never happened to me when I was running the channels server on Windows. I had busy hours set for my most common recording times yet there were still things that recorded at other times.
No the batch job above Checks to make sure the DVR is IDLE ... Including Recording, Watching, Commercial Detection , guide downloading etc ...
I run it a 4:00 AM on Sundays.
No, no trouble on the server side ATM. Just something I thought I should know how to do.
