Quality of picture is excellent while viewing live. But then when I view it as a recording, at times the picture becomes scrambled and unusable. This first started when tvOS 11 came out. I have the most updated TvOS and Channels App. How can I fix this issue?

Please try to play the recording directly on your mac using VLC and see if it has the same issue.
Is your mac connected to your router via ethernet?
Not connected via ethernet. But connection is good and it wasn’t causing this problem in the past. I also played the recording on VLC and it is still scrambled. Thanks for your help!
If the recording itself is scrambled, that indicates a bad network connection between your Mac and the HDHR. It is highly recommended you wire your DVR computer directly for best results.
Is the issue occurring all recordings, or just some of them? Could be certain times of day your Wi-Fi is busier than others. Also check to make sure your Wi-Fi supports 802.11AC and maybe use the 5ghz network if not already.
