Is there a setting I have to change? The screen really whitens up when I turn the tv up or have the timeline on the screen
Do you have a 4K HDR tv? Try turning on SDR mode on the Settings tab.
Yeah 4K tv on 11.3 beta. I just turned it on and it’s the same issue.
Could be an issue with the beta.
Just FYI same issue here with beta 2 today on the latest channels release and beta.
This same thing happened on the tvOS 11.0 release version and was fixed in the 11.2 version that brought automatic mode switching.
It sounds like a regression in the beta. Apple betas are notoriously buggy. We’ll monitor it, thanks!
Just wanted to add to this discussion. Mine was also fine until the newest betas. Now mine is whitening too. Driving me crazy. Hopefully Apple will figure this out. I wished i would have remembered to turn off public betas.
If you switch your Apple TV to live in SDR, it won’t happen.
