Search not working properly on TVOS

Last night the family wanted to watch The Fugitive. So I started typing in "The Fugiti.." and thought that maybe I didn't have that movie in my library. I had to page down to the very end and there she was.

Then I finished typing in the name of the movie and it is still not first in the list.

It appears as if channels is putting title matches last and prioritizing description matches in the results. You will notice a title in the screenshot that has the word fugitive in it.

So then I tried on my android phone and it worked perfect

Any insight on this?

Android isn’t utilizing search from the server yet, as iOS/tvOS moved to last year. It truly is searching just titles locally, hence the smaller amount of results.

Tuning can be better for result order in search and we’ll work on it.
