Season Pass, 'new episodes' from a given point

Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked before but is it possible to set up a season pass where episodes recorded are 'new' as in not recorded before despite not being 'new' as in previously unaired; ie. a single instance of a show that's repeated multiple times.

Setting up a season pass for 'All episodes' marks all episodes on the EPG as 'to be recorded' even if they have previously been recorded. Is it the case the DVR will attempt to record the show even if it is in the library already?

I ask as I am attempting to record a show that is often repeated on multiple channels here in the UK, sometimes with different channels showing different seasons and repeating the same show at different times during the day. With only a dual tuner, sometimes having another season pass running can cause clashes and occupy both tuners.

Yes, this has been asked and answered many times before. If you set the pass for all episodes, it will record shows that are airing for the first time, as well as repeats.

However, Channels will only record a single instance of an episode. If you want Channels to re-record episodes, it must be specifically configured to do so; it does not do this by default.

Set up an Advanced Pass with conditions of SeasonNumber greater than a value. You can specify EpisodeNumber as well, but then future seasons may not record episode numbers earlier than that.
