Seek bar Ghost?

Not sure if this is just my TV... but, i have not noticed this weird thing until recently.

With some backgrounds, i am seeing the seek bar line extending beyond the length of its pop up box border area. On both the left and right sides of the screen.
A redish purple faint line...
It is most noticeable while i am watching episodes of Stargate Atlantis...
It appears and disappears when pull up the seek bar

I don't believe I've ever seen that. Do you have another TV in the house to test with? What are the MediaInfo video statistics on that file (bitrate, resolution and the likes)?

The other tv's are hooked up to Android clients, which is out of date compared to Apple TV.
They also are old 1080p tvs.

It is odd, not seeing it now in other episodes. Gues it only happens with certain backgrounds and when the progress indicator is mostly full. not sure. I also tried changing the tvs picture modes, did not affect the ghost line.
(its a Mini LED tv, not OLED, so not burn in or retention)

The file is a highish bitrate bluray rip. h264. 1080p

Do those old out-of-date Android devices exhibit the same problem with the same file?

For sure does it through most of this specific episode S02E17...very noticeable in lighter greyish backgrounds...I do not see it happen in other episodes so far though, but have seen it happen in others before i thought to take a pic of it.

Edit: Seeing this line again when i bring up the seek bar at certain times in S03E01.
Seems to be best seen when there is some grainy or compression noise in the picture. But am seeing it almost at any time through out the entire episode, it very very faint at times, but it is there. But then not at all in other episodes. Very strange.

Just on the Apple TV.

Unrelated, just noticed that seeking on Android is much much faster on Android TV. Hold down the FF and it zooms to 45min end of the show in like 4 secs. Apple Tv seeking hold down button, takes like 30 secs to get to the end.
Didn't realize seeking was so different on Android.
