On my Shield using the latest build, I go to On Now/Favorites. I highlight a channel and press/hold. The sub menu appears and I un-check Favorite. The screen refreshes and channel appears again. If I go to the guide, the channel is still in my favorites list.
If I go to settings/manage lineup, select the tuner and un-favorite the channel there, it's properly removed from Favorites.
