Selecting Language Track with Remote DVR

Hello:

I currently have Channels working with my HD Homerun Prime. I have my partner’s ATB set up with remote DVR access. When viewing live tv or recorded shows, I am only able to see one language track (even for shows with multiple tracks). We would like to be able to remotely access the description track provided for blind viewers. Is there a way to prefer a language track if it exists and fallback to the primary if not?

Thanks,
Rachel

I’ve added a fix for this in our DVR and there is a new pre-release available so you can try it and see if it works. Visit the DVR web UI on your computer/NAS, hold down the SHIFT key and click Check For Updates.

Once the update is complete, try watching remotely on ATV again and you should see multiple audio tracks. Let me know if it works, and if the app correctly lists the additional track as audio descriptions like it would when streaming locally.

It’s working beautifully! Thank you!

The app shows them as “track 1” and “track 2” and lists a bitrate for each. Local streams show English and Spanish (which is I believe what the codes on the stream are?)

I’ve fixed the “bitrate” display. Will look into why the language doesn’t show.
