Possibly an option to disable m3u tuner sharing? My streams seem to buffer when the DVR tries to share an m3u connection. Is it possible to just have it use another tuner? The stream itself works great on another device not using channels. It only happens when there are two clients watching the same channel.

No it's not possible
This is a very big drawback then, why is this happening? I only ever have buffering issues when it’s the same channel being watched.
A stream must be massaged by the DVR server first, unless it is a HDHR stream, then it doesn't need to be.
What sort of buffering issues? How are the clients connected? What client platforms?
If you add two custom sources with the same m3u with different channel numbers, you will be able to have two clients tuned to the same stream without sharing. You can use this to test if your buffering issues go away.
I think it’s got something to do with the proxy I’m using. By having the stream come directly from where it’s being hosted I don’t have this issue. Apologies on my part! Should’ve tested this sooner. I was taking the direct stream and buffering it with ffmpeg on my pc. Maybe the double ffmpeg buffering was causing the issue?
