I was wondering if there was any documentation regarding Series Passes.

There are a couple of selectors and their interactions that I don't understand. For instance, "New Episodes" vs "All Episodes." Does "New Episodes" mean the first run of the latest season, or does it mean episodes that the DVR hasn't seen before?

Under the Keep section, If I've previously selected "All Episodes" and have Keep "Last 3 Only", does that mean that it will never record more than 3? And if so, will those 3 delete themselves when more come along, effectively cycling through episodes that I may or may not have watched?

It means flagged as "New" in the guide. Usually this means first time being aired; but sometimes it can mean that the program has already aired, but this is the first airing on this channel.

No, it will keep recording any episodes not previously recorded, and delete older ones.

I would like a separate way to prevent recording until you've watched some, but as of now that does not exist.

However, some networks mark things (in the guide data) "New" that are not. They do this by taking one or more episodes, combining them together, and calling it "New". They also sometimes reedit an episode and change 10% or 15% and call it "New".
