I am seeing that I have way higher MGPS hard wired than on Wi-Fi. Is it possible to hard wire the machine that I have the Channels server on? Do you lose anything or any functionality doing that?
Hardwiring is always better than wifi. That's really just networking, not specific to Channels. You will only gain ground, you won't lose anything.

Hardwired all the way. If you are worried about the location of your server, look into MOCA adapters. These are the ones I have:
