I recently bought a new computer due to the fact my old one would not upgrade to Windows 11. I got channels up and running on my AppleTv, using HDHomeRun. My problem is that it continues to lose connection to the channels dvr. The fix is to restart my computer. However, it only last for a period of time. Could be a day or hours. I have to reboot my computer again. If I go back to my old computer the issue doesn't happe
I'm not familiar with AppleTV but
. Make sure you have a static IP address set up.
If your computer switches for some reason between WiFi and direct Ethernet via an adapter etc
each of those connections have DIFFERENT IP addresses.
This can cause the Client to lose connection and not reconnect automatically I have found the hard way.
And YES, per Altman, set server to NEVER sleep.
It sounds like your computer is going to sleep. Right click the start button and chose power options. Sleep is the third option down. Set it to never.
