Server Side Only Sources

Not sure if this is a bug or just my misunderstanding of the feature. I've setup a custom M3U to use as the channel list for my clients in the house.

Basically here's the code I am using:

I still have the original sources in my server (TVE, FUBO Project, Pluto, etc), but I don't want those sources showing up on the clients (don't need ESPN being on channel 10 and 6140). They do on the web admin but that's not an issue as I am the only one in our family who uses the web admin occasionally.

My assumption was that this Server Side configuraiton would remove the sources that I am not wanting to show up in the clients. I setup the sources to just pull these three:

However, in the clients I still see all of them and they are enabled. I am having to go into each machine and manually disable the sources I want hidden. Is that correct or am I misunderstanding this feature?

Thanks.

HDHomeRun units will automatically be discovered by the Clients and Channels will show up.

Asa far as Sever Side only sources that only works on APPLETV.

Thanks Maddox. I triggered that several months ago (moving from the left pane to the right). I didn't got back and double check the absence or presence of the "Apple" icon. Perhaps adding the Apple only icon on the right side when the server side elements are "activated" and moved to the right side would be a recommendation I would make.

Thanks for the quick reply.

P.S. Just pointing out as I'm trying to expand my abilities within the Channels DVR universe, I'm starting to feel the Apple Bias moreso. The lack of download and now this on the Droid platform are examples, with download being 2 years since Apple has but not Droid. :frowning:

P.S.S. Anyone else have "wonder twin powers - Activate" when I referenced "Activated" or am I just showing I am older than most of these forums? :stuck_out_tongue:

This is my biggest issue with Channels. I canceled my subscription but re-enabled it and decided to give this one more year. With so many compromises in the system now (TVE seems to be about done, login issues with various providers, etc) and the fact that I have to keep Emby running to fill in the missing android features (downloads) isn't something I want to do much longer. When it comes down to it, I can get YTTV, FUBO or any number of providers and just use those directly and enjoy Emby for what it's designed to do and simply simplify.

Android is the Stepchild ... but I would not be surprised if there are more Android Channels DVR users than Apple.

Possible. Certainly it's the more affordable platform than Apple and you would think cord cutters are looking for better pricing options, not just better capabilities (which Channels delivers regardless of platforms when compared against cable company or even streaming solutions). But I can't help look at the Apple users who get to bypass the line into the club while the Droid users waitng (semi)patiently in line.

Sorry, not trying to turn this into a rant on Droid vs Apple. I'll let this drop on this thread and move on.
