Services with the Largest TVE Exposure

FuboTV in the lead? If this chart is accurate, how well does it work with Channels/TVE?

I’ve been using fubo for over a year now and it’s been near flawless in my experience.

doesnt factor in price though.
all those top ones are waht $50 to $70+ range, higher with extras.

Philo is $20 a month.
and "apps" not sure what that means....but i get 98 channels with Philo TVE in channels.

One thing I noticed is that you have to look really carefully at what channels are available via TVE from which providers. The number doesn't matter if one or two of the channels you want aren't there. For instance, if you want TNT, there aren't any streaming providers that I've found that give you that via TVE. You must subscribe to one of the traditional cable providers (or maybe satellite, I haven't checked that) to get TNT via TVE.

@speedingcheetah Are you pretty happy with Philo? I currently use an HDHomeRun Prime with Frontier, but they are going to jack up our rates in about a month. So I'm considering going full TVE with Philo (along with OTA and Pluto).

Philo is great if you like reality tv

Works well.. many tve channels. But is missing some networks. I do use thier own app too to save and watch multi eps of shows.

I like Philo as I get Locals over the air and I don't need sports. What I like about the Channels DVR is I can keep switching for the best bargain from various services. I've been using Vidgo for two months with lots of channels at $10 a month for two months, and I loaded up the Channels DVR with shows. Also I caught a Philo deal for one month for one dollar through Best Buy. I just cancel these services before they rise to their standard rate, and wait for the next bargain to feed my TVE hungry Channels DVR. Sling today just sent me an offer for one month for ten dollars. They might be my provider for March, but who knows what other offers will come in.

I don't want to start using another app. I really want Channels to be my one-stop shop for Live TV and DVR. I'm mentally preparing myself for a fight with Frontier to keep my price low. But if that doesn't work out, I'll probably give Philo a try.

I'm still trying to figure out what I really need if I cut the cord.
It all depends on what you want as far as Shows, Networks, On Demand, Reliability of service, Quality of stream, Surround sound vs Stereo, frame rate, bit rate, Quality of service from provider, DVR, cost, ad-nauseum.
It could all change tomorrow.

And TVE is at best 1080p Stereo at a lower bit-rate/quality than cable which is lower than OTA.
Locast is bottom of the barrel for bit-rate.

I've been trialing TVE while I still have OTA and Cable and my first choice is OTA, then Cable, then TVE, then Locast for all reasons.

U dont have to use the Philo app, moat of the channels they over have TVE, but some do not. Like Discovery Family and a few others.

With most cable-replacement packages now at ~$500/yr+, for my use case, which is just a few entertainment shows a year on non-antenna cable channels, they offer poor value. Instead, I use Netflix and Channels DVR, otherwise buying shows direct from Apple, and then occasionally binge watch subscription services (CBS All Access, Peacock, Hulu, Britbox, etc.).

However, the excellent TVE Channels DVR integration has definitely opened me up to the lower cost offerings. Right now, I am getting good value out of the ultra-cheap $10/mo T-Mobile-only TVision Vibe service. I’m very impressed so far!
