I feel like this is something i'm missing but it exists. I have a handful of channels made by Dizquetv and they are just fake channels made from my plex library - i want to make sure that if i requested a show to be recorded Channels would never try to record any of them. Is there any way to do that?
Hide the channels in the source lineup.
I don't want to hide them - i watch them
I don't want them to be used for dvr/recording

Understood. In this case, one way to do it is with an advanced pass and use the condition Channel EXCLUDES 1234. You can use it as many times as you want for more than one channel.

Here is one for america's test kitchen - 205 is a dizquetv fake channel
I did not realize you could exclude channels instead of include them - but it is onerous to do that for every show that might run up against this

They look normal - did not know i could exclude channels instead of making include list - its just a record all pass
A normal pass uses gracenote series ids. I don't think disque puts gracenote data in its xmltv?
So thats interesting so i thought i would look through
I searched for America's Test Kitchen - this is Pluto's one which is no gracenote
This looks to be the gracenote - it has plex live tv and real channels

I swear this happened before - perhaps i made multiple passes to pull in the pluto tv ones too
Looks like both my current pluto tv and gracenote use their own bespoke seriesid while dizquetv just uses the generic name
I did just move pluto tv containers and moved plex and tubi to gracenote so perhaps that was what solved it
You still haven’t shared what your pass definition looks like. Without more information, no one can help you.
