It would be nice to have an option to set the external IP address of the channels server manually.

My use case:

I'm using a VPN for TVE access, but channels is picking up the VPN IP for remote channels access which wont work. The VPN is setup on my router (pfSense), but the channels box is port forwarded over my WAN IP. Channels should be accessed over the WAN not the VPN interface.

If I could set my WAN IP in the channels interface, I would be able to use the remote features properly using the my.channelsdvr.net address.

Set a firewall rule on the LAN segment to send traffic destined for community.getchannels.com out the WAN and not out the VPN. Easier if you set an alias up with the FQDN and let the firewall pull down the IP as needed.
