Would really appreciate being able to select where the dvr records to (rename TV to TV Shows), and select a different directory for movies. also for where the db and all other channels folders are located.
Agreed. I'd prefer to have more control over where my recordings go. I'd like to be able to select the folder that the recording will be stored in for every recording and scheduled series.
Our experience has been that most of our users don't care what the directory structure is or where the files go, because they use Channels app to watch content.
I understand why you want this, but its not a big priority for us at the moment. If you really want to reorganize, you can use something like MCEBuddy to move/rename.
Appreciate the response. I figured that might be the case since I was the first person to vote. 
I thought more people might be using other media servers like Plex or Emby to watch their content, but I guess not. I'll keep watching this post. Maybe in another year it'll be a higher priority.
For me, I'd already had plenty of media stored on a NAS with directory names Movies/TV Shows and have written plenty of scripts of my own to handle automation based on those two folders, not a huge problem as I updated the mysql tables affected. However and very silly of me I know, I like a nice tidy directory structure and it looks messy with the added folders that Channels has created on my NAS. I just figured a request for this was worth asking for and yeah I get it would be pretty low down on the list but appreciate you taking the time to look at my request none-the-less. Oh and I watch my stuff on Kodi mainly, but also Emby when travelling. I also have several boxes in different rooms around the house.
