I would love to see some sort of sharing of settings, favorites, etc when using multiple ATVs and iOS devices with the goal of creating consistency across all the ATVs in a house. It would be great if favorites were also shared with the DVR app.

Having the option to sync manually or enable automatic syncing on a per-device basis would be pretty cool too. That way we could, for example, sync the favorites on all ATVs in common areas in the house, but those in bedrooms could have their own unsynced favorites list. But then maybe the bedroom ATVs could pull in the favorites from other TVs as a starting point, but still not sync changes in the background when that list is modified. I could see this being very useful for DRM channels too, which I hide for obvious reasons.

Probably not a super popular request, but it sure would be nice…

I require separate favorites between my dvr and ATVs.
A change that would sync them all together would break functionality for me.

Well I’m sure there are in fact people it wouldn’t benefit, which is why I mentioned the possibility of a manual sync instead of automatic.

so does this mean that a separate channels app and dvr along with the fees associated are required for each device you want in the home?

No, one DVR subscription for all devices. Only one app purchase per-platform. (Assuming all your appleTVs and Android TVs use the same accounts .

The app personalizations are per-device. That’s what this is about. Asking for settings sync across devices.

Apple TV implemented this for apps and home screen layout, just saying…
