Show passes Keep first {number} only

I'd like to see an option in passes where we have the option to record 10, 15, 20, etc... of episodes of a show and then it stops scheduling future recordings. Once the episodes drop below that threshold again will it look up the shows again. So a pause & un-pause feature for the pass. The reason for this request is that I like to have a handful of episodes of shows I've watched a million times around, but I don't watch them every day, or even every week.

Seeing as the rise of TVE usage is going up, a lot of data use counts against data-caps. (I have Xfinity internet unfortunately.) Even for those of us who are using HDHR Tuners for OTA or CableCard, this would also reduce unnecessary tuner usage. I don't see the point to overwrite old "Unwatched" recordings with new "Unwatched" recordings. When I watch it, I delete it, then channels can unpause the pass automatically, fill up the quota again, then re-pause the pass.

I've dug around the setting in DVR to try and figure out how to do this, even looking in advanced passes, but have not found anything to accomplish this. There is the unwatched + x option, but then I start piling episodes I don't need and taking up DVR space. If anyone has figured out a way to do this that I missed please let me know. Otherwise, I'd love to see this implemented!

This is a sorely missing feature. We plan to take a look soon.

We're testing a new Limit option for advanced passes in v2021.04.29.0105

Awesome! I'll give it some testing. Thank you.

Is there a timed check to refresh the scheduled recordings? From some quick testing, when I delete an episode to put it below the limit threshold, it takes a manual pause & unpause of the pass to see the appropriate replacement episode in the scheduled list. Hopefully that makes sense.

Yea the schedule is generally refreshed every morning after the guide data updates.
