Show thumbnail all identical

I've just gone through and trimmed trimmed all recordings of a show using Lossless Cut as recommended by @racameron (thank you!). The only trouble I now have is that all the thumbnails for the show are identical.

So I've solved one problem which was that comskip failed to work on this show and I've dealt with that my actually trimming the recordings. But now I have another problem that the thumbnails in Channels are not good.

One option I can think of is to remove the show and reimport. Perhaps that would get Channels to recreate thumbnails? Or is there a more elegant way to go about it?

Refresh Metadata will regenerate the thumbnail

Thanks, I had already refreshed metadata (I had to do that to get the recording length to update). The issue isn't that there are no thumbnails, it's that they are identical. Are the thumbnails produced from the first few frames of the recording?

Yes it's from 5min into the recording IIRC

These all seem to be showing the 1st frame. If it was 5mins in, it would be great. Maybe it's getting thrown off because these are short shows; they are only 7 mins long?

Probably.

I guess you could go into the Images folder and replace the .jpg files.

Ok, thanks. I guess that's a workaround. I'll just have to try to remember not to refresh the metadata.

Would there be any chance of looking at having a fall back for short shows so that it doesn't fall back to frame 1 if it's a short show? Then it wouldn't require manually editing the thumbnails?

Edit:

Example logic might be,
If show is longer than 10mins, thumbnail created at 5mins,
else if show is longer than 5 mins, thumbnail created at 3 mins,
else if show is longer than 1 min, thumbnail created at 30 seconds,
else thumbnail created at frame 1
