Shows being deleted

So, I have recorded many Frasier episodes from a Pluto channel that just repeats them endlessly. I do not have a Season Pass, I just choose the ones I want to record and keep for repeat viewings at my own convenience.

So a few days ago I had maybe 100 episodes, now it seems a number of these have been deleted without me doing anything. I have lots of disk space still available.

What is going on?

Channels doesn’t delete anything on its own without having a Series Pass with keep settings set to do so.

If you don’t have a Series Pass then something odd is happening.

  1. Are these items in the trash?
  2. Did you check your logs to see if it’s showing them being deleted?
  3. Is it possible they’re being deleted by something else?

Ok thanks for reply. On checking again I now find I have 2 Frasier categories so they are not deleted after all. Not sure how that happened maybe from different channels?

If you’re using custom channels, their guide data probably give the show a different tv show ID, so they will be grouped separately.

You can use fix incorrect match on it to merge it with the one recorded from your tuner or tve source.

Unlike TVE, OTA and Cable which use a Gracenote SeriesID, Pluto uses a different one.
Most likely Pluto airs Frasier under different Pluto SeriesID's.
You can look at the recordings you have and see if the Pluto SeriesID is the same for them.
The ones currently in the guide are SeriesID: "pluto/6356cd00df7dfa001346884d"
