So it worked yesterday. Not today. I scan with my tvOS or iOS my HDHR3-US. Sees the channels. Gets to 100%. Then says 0 channels. I’ve restarted Channels Server. Scanned with the native program. Nothing works to make the channels server see the channel list.
Does it work in the official HDHR app?
Yes. The scan went perfect in the SD program.
Please submit diagnostics from the tvOS or iOS app after the scan there
Done.
Isn't that a legacy device that does not support the HTTP API? In those cases, a channel scan requires a Windows computer to handle the scan and upload the channel list to SD's servers, as it does not maintain its own lineup.
(Unless Channels uses the older libhdhomerun to handle interactions with those devices, and keeps a persistent copy of the channel scan in its settings?)
Sent again from iOS.
I used iOS and the HDHomeRun pc program to scan. The pc program scanned ok. But no matter what Channels wouldn’t save the scan.
Seems like the HDHR is not able to talk to the internet? Did you move it or change how it's connected to your network?
Yes. It’s connected to a Ethernet bridge. But it’s online. My internet has been messing up all day. But everything is up now.
I didn’t know the HDHR3 needed to talk to the internet. Just local.
Tried again. Pc program scans and sees all the channels from the HR3. Channels too scans and sees, but will not store them. Sent more diagnostics. @tmm1
It won't work unless the HDHR lineup.json shows a value for DeviceAuth.
Reboot the HDHR when internet is working and ensure the DeviceAuth is present before rescan.
How do I read that json data? My internet is working fine right now. I’ve rebooted serval times too.
It WAS the internet connection to the device. Sorry for all the trouble. I was able to get the ethernet bridge to work right. Now it's all good to go. Thanks!
Have the same issue, but didn’t work on HDHR app. What should I do ?
